Aren't Sunday naps great? That is something I am looking forward to now that AWANA is over. I will miss everyone and the girls in my group for sure, but it will be a nice break.
Last night, was award night for AWANA at church. Macie received a Book Completion award and Zoa got a Certificate of Achievement. She started going a little late so she couldn't finish her book. I am going to count how many verses Macie learned this year just out of curiosity.
I was up this morning at 5:00 a.m. We didn't do the program though because Day 1, we needed a pull up bar so our plans are made out for us tonight - install one of those downstairs. I can't believe I heard the alarm though! That in itself calls for a celebration!
Hmmm, what else is new? I think that is about it. We are shopping around for condos in Gulf Shores. Our vacation starts the 26th of May. I am so excited! Hopefully, I can drop these last few pounds before then.
Oh! Guess who is 95% sure she is getting released tomorrow?! Yep - Jessie! She is doing wonderfully and is walking, talking and cutting up like normal I'm sure! We are so proud of her and happy does not even begin to describe how we feel about it all!

In the word's of my dad...
...you might want to grab a tissue. I received this in my Inbox this morning. You cannot help but smile when the video gets to 5 1/2 minutes into it.
Also, please check out my sister's blog. Remember this? Please, if you have yet to do that but want to, today is the day.

Cutting Back
Last night I had Titus 2. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what this is, I will explain it. Titus 2 is a ministry at our church which encourages women to help other women be what the Bible wants us to be. It is based off of this scripture found in Titus 2:4-5
"that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands..."
I have learned many different things through this and I know I have much more to learn.
We received a book last night, Created to be His Help Meet. The book focuses on helping you to become the wife God designed you to be. I am so excited to start reading it!
I know how God wants us to prioritize: husbands, children, home, and finally any extra activities we would like. I feel like with everyone going on, I am failing at this. I have decided that after this school year is over, we will take a break from all the extras. I know this will help me be a better wife and mother. We might start ballet up in the fall, but I will deal with that once I get there.
It is almost like a catch 22. I want the world for my children so we do things at church, we have ballet, etc. But at the same time, I lose focus on my home and most importantly, Jeremy. I emotionally and physically suffer from it as well. In this book, it talks about how your husbands likes to come home to a happy, energetic, and most of all, joyful wife. Now that I have thought about it, evenings at our home go a lot more smoothly if the girls are happy, everything is picked up, and so on. I am hoping to become this joyful wife, similar to this! (Ha! Ha!)
In all seriousness, I hope and pray this book will help me to realize my purpose as a wife.. And for the record, our marriage is fine...but like all relationships, we are not perfect.

Migraines, Bowling and Church
I assume it is because of the dang weather that I have had headaches, including migraines since Friday evening. Usually a super hot bath will take the edge off of a migraine, but this one would not leave. I went to dinner and then bowling with a few girlfriends on Friday, and ended up having to leave early because of it. Saturday, I woke up feeling fine. The girls and I had a birthday party to go to, which was also at the bowling alley. It was a lot of fun. The girls bowled pretty good. Zoa found that kicking the ball down the alley increased her odds of actually getting the ball to the pins, if that makes sense. Macie felt fine just throwing the ball. It was very cute to watch little girls try their best to knock pins over!
Once we got home, I felt it coming back. Thank goodness it was nap time for the girls! Even though I could not fall asleep, it was nice just to have some peace and quiet. We spent a relaxing evening at home, where it was warm! We are being hit by a cold front, and Saturday evening, I think it got in the single digits!
Sunday we went to church. Macie and I are back at Sunday School. She loves Sunday school! I used to go to women's class, until the leader moved. Now that it is back with a new leader, I am excited to get back in it. We are studying the book of Proverbs. It should be interesting.
Sunday afternoon/evening, Macie and I are usually back at church for AWANA. This is a great program for children and I highly recommend it. You can click on the link, then About Us, for more information if you are curious as to what it is. But...the headache came back so I ended up with another hot bath. No AWANA this week...
Hopefully, this is not a pre-cursor as to how this week will be!
