Helpless

I feel like I am back to baby nights.

Nights without sleep...screaming at random times...a baby lying between us...

Zoa has not slept well the fast few nights. She will randomly scream...not terrified scream, but more like just scared scream. Two nights ago, we were up four times dealing with it. Eventually, we just told her to hop in our bed. We had to sleep.

She doesn't wake up during these episodes and her eyes remain compleelty closed. It is really scary for us, much less thinking about what she is thinking about to scream.

Has your child ever done this? Tips?

First of all, I just LOVE this picture! Secondly, Kacie did this too. It only lasted about a week and then it stopped but I know that every kid is different. She told us she was having nightmares but couldnt tell us about them so we were a little skeptical at first. We let her get in bed with us after the second night and did that for a few nights and then told her she had to go back to sleeping in her bed and it just stopped. I know its a little coincidental but it did. lol I know this is not a tip at all but I dont know what you could do really. I hope it stops soon for all of you!

My little boy went through this when he was 4 I think. He actually had night terrors though. It was a blood curdling scream. Then it just went away. It was scary for me too. All we could do was comfort him.

My daughter, at 3, used to wake up screaming and would get out of bed and walk to the top of the stairs. She was not awake and never remembered it.

I eventually learned to take her to bed and hold her until she woke up enough to realize she was just dreaming and then she would lay back down.

I decided it had to do with some big changes going on. It lasted about a month I think. Those were some tiring days!

Evie had night terrors for a short while. Her doctor told us to put her to bed 1/2 an hour earlier. Worked like a charm!

Hope things get better for you and your cutie!
