Spring has me sitting outside a lot with the girls while they are playing. I have been thinking that during their playtime, I could pick up a book and start reading.
I have decided to start with The Love Dare. Rugby season takes my husband from me a lot of the time...practice two times a week which puts him at being home around 8:00 and all day Saturdays for game day. Most of his games are in St. Louis which is a couple of hours away.
This makes for a very moody, cranky, irritable, crabby, impatient, and downright mean stressed wife and mother. I try to think of the positive...at least he is not in a bar...etc. but I know this book could do me a lot of good right now.
Anyone care to join me on a quest to read more? My personal preference on books include true crime and books on parenting and health but I would love to broaden my horizons. Feel free to share what book you are reading. Maybe we could start a little book club. Let me know your thoughts...

So I already read a lot and would to have someone to discuss with. I have read all of the Nicholas Sparks book and love them so if you want something to just read for fun those are great. I will go through my books tonight and email you a list of ones I have read that I recommend. As far as a book club, I am really wanting to read "The Power of a Praying Wife", "The Love Dare", "For Women Ony", and "Created to Be His Help Meet", I have actually bought all of these off Amazon and just have not started yet. Any you would be interested in?
I also want to read Fireproof although I have watched the movie already.
I have read bits and pieces of The Power of a Praying Wife...but just lost time to finish it. I would love to try to read that one again!
Created to be His Help Meet is awesome...very 'convicting'. Be careful how you take it...some wives do not like it because the authors viewpoint on certain things. But I do agree with it, as hard as it is to swallow the facts from the bible.
I love reading just about anything except Sci Fi and Fantasy. Seat of the Soul is a great book by Gary Zukav, I learned about that from Oprah
I have such A.D.D. when it comes to reading books. I split my focus between numerous books. I received a book from a blog contest called Better Love Now How to make your marriage a life long love affair. I have enjoyed reading that together with my husband.
